We proudly use positive reinforcement methods only—no e-collars, shock devices, or choke chains—ensuring a safe, supportive experience for every dog.

All Things Puppy Training
4-Week Class | $120
For puppies under 5 months of age
Get your puppy off to the best start in life with our All Things Puppy class! Designed for puppies between 10 and 20 weeks of age, this 4-week class focuses on the crucial early stages of puppy socialization and basic training. You’ll learn how to address common puppy challenges like:
- Potty training
- Crate training
- Nipping and chewing
- Jumping and running off
Your puppy will also begin learning foundational obedience behaviors such as sit, settle, attention focus, walking on leash, and coming when called, laying the groundwork for future training in our Beginner Basics class.
This class is not suitable for reactive dogs. For reactive behavior, we recommend starting with private sessions or our Feisty Fido class.
Note: For the safety of all puppies, those entering the training facility must have at least two rounds of Distemper/Parvo vaccinations and one Bordetella (kennel cough) inoculation. (Rabies is not required until 4 months of age). Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required at the first class.

Beginner Basics Training
6-Week Class | $175
For dogs 5 months and older
Start your dog’s training journey with our Beginner Basics class! This 6-week class introduces the essential skills every dog needs to be a well-mannered companion. Using hand signals, verbal cues, and clicker training, you’ll work together on foundational behaviors like:
- Attention focus skills
- Sit and down (with an introduction to stay)
- Settle/place
- Come when called
- Leave it / drop it
- Loose leash walking
This class also covers how to address common challenges like jumping, rushing the door, and running off. Weekly practice assignments, handouts, and support videos help keep your dog on track both at home and in public.
This class is not suitable for reactive dogs. For reactive behavior, we recommend starting with private sessions or our Feisty Fido class.

Beyond The Basics
5-Week Class | $145
For dogs who have completed Beginner Basics
Take your dog’s training to the next level with our Beyond The Basics class! This 5-week intermediate course is designed for dogs that have successfully completed Beginner Basics and are ready to advance their training to our intermediate level course. In this class, you and your dog will work on:
- Reliable recalls
- Stay with increased distance, distractions, and duration
- Park it (place)
- Heeling
- Wait and take it
This class focuses on giving you the tools to have a well-behaved dog both inside and outside the home, no matter the distractions.
Graduation includes a certificate for achievements well done, plus a free AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluation to test your dog’s manners and obedience skills.
This class is not suitable for reactive dogs.

Advanced Obedience
5-Week Class | $145
For dogs who have completed Beyond the Basics
Our Advanced Obedience class takes your dog’s training to the highest level. Designed for graduates of Beyond the Basics, this 5-week class focuses on refining and strengthening core behaviors like:
- Stays
- Heels
- Recalls
- Park it
These skills will be challenged with increased distractions and longer distances. In addition to advancing existing skills, your dog will learn new, important behaviors such as:
- Emergency stop
- Back
- Positions like Side, In-Between, and Behind Me
This class prepares your dog to perform reliably in any situation.
This class is not suitable for reactive dogs.

Quick Tricks Class
4-Week Class | $120
For dogs who have completed Beyond the Basics

In our fun and customizable 4-week dog tricks course, you’ll teach your dog a variety of impressive tricks that are sure to entertain and impress. The best part? You can request specific tricks for your dog to learn, tailoring the class to your preferences. Popular dog tricks include:

Therapy Dog Class
6-Week Class | $200
For dogs 1 year and older
Prepare your dog to become a certified therapy dog with our comprehensive 6-week course. This class is designed to set both you and your dog up for success as a therapy dog team, ready to provide comfort and support in various settings. Upon completion, your dog will be evaluated for certification with one of the following national therapy dog organizations: Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ADT), Love on a Leash, or Canines for Christ.
What You’ll Learn:
This course focuses on key social and behavioral skills, including:
- Reading body language & using non-verbal commands
- Refining advanced obedience skills
- Handling unexpected occurrences & distractions
- Meeting and interacting with strangers, children, elderly, and physically-challenged individuals
- Working around equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, and canes
- Strengthening handler-dog team dynamics during therapy sessions
Each class lasts approximately 60 minutes, giving you ample time to practice and reinforce these important skills. Our expert instructors will guide you through real-life scenarios to prepare for the final therapy dog evaluation.
Prerequisites:
- Dogs must be at least one year old and have completed Beyond the Basics or an equivalent class.
- Your dog should be calm, friendly with strangers and children, and comfortable around other dogs.
- Vaccination Requirements: Proof of up-to-date vaccinations, including Bordetella, Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies, must be provided at the first class.

Feisty Fido
4-Week Class | $150
For reactive dogs
Is your dog reactive? Does it bark or lunge at other dogs on leash? This four-week class is limited to 4 dogs and provides the skills, guidance, and practice you need to eliminate these unwanted behaviors. Through counter-conditioning and desensitization, this class works to change your dog’s Conditioned Emotional Response (CER) from a negative one to a positive one. No more walking late at night to avoid dogs. No more apologizing for your dog’s behavior. This class will provide the foundation for you to have the dog you’ve always wanted!

What You’ll Learn:
- Techniques to manage and address excessive barking, lunging, and other reactive behaviors
- Counter-conditioning and desensitization strategies to address reactivity
- How to shift your dog’s Conditioned Emotional Response (CER) to a neutral or positive one
- Effective methods to handle responses towards both people and other dogs
Our Feisty Fido class is limited to just 4 dogs, ensuring personalized attention and effective training. This course aims to help you and your dog enjoy stress-free walks and interactions.
Prerequisites:
- You must be an existing EBDS client or complete at least one private session. Click HERE to schedule your private session prior to class.
- Vaccination Requirements: Dogs must be current on Bordetella (kennel cough), Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies vaccinations (if age applicable). Proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required at the first class.

What’s required to register for group dog training classes?
All puppies and dogs enrolling in classes at East Bay Dog Spot must have proof of up-to-date vaccinations, including distemper/parvo, bordetella (kennel cough) and rabies, if applicable.
No dog can be admitted into the training center without proof of current vaccinations! – please check vet records before attending your first class.
Is my dog too old for training?
Absolutely not! We’ve had dogs as old as 12 years old come through training. Our methods work for dogs of all ages, young and old.
Where are you located?
We are located at 4645 Gulf Breeze Pkwy, Gulf Breeze. We proudly serve clients in Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Pensacola, Milton, and Fort Walton. Though the majority of our clients are from Gulf Breeze and Navarre, we have many clients travel to enjoy our classes from as far as Orange Beach.
What if I miss a class?
Life happens! If you have a vacation planned or a family emergency arises, we always do our best to work with our clients to provide the best service. If you know you will miss a class, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate one free private 30-minute makeup session at our training facility in Gulf Breeze to ensure that you get all the information you need to teach your dog manners and obedience and ultimately make the most of class.
What are your training methods?
East Bay Dog Spot uses current science-based positive reinforcement methods to teach obedience and address unwanted behaviors. We do not use shock collars or prong collars throughout our training programs. Every dog learns differently, so we have a variety of strategies and tools to ensure training success.
